Blue Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.1 miles from the town of Marion. The route is 0.37 miles long, with a one-way climb of 155 feet from a low point of 517 feet to a high of 686 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.26 miles in, with a 15% grade. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meriden run to highs around 70°F in May and 75°F in September, though that station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. The trail makes an easy pairing with other short hikes in the area. Dark Green Trail is just 0.1 mile away, and Orange Trail and Red Trail are within about half a mile. Paddlers can reach the Quinnipiac River roughly 4.7 miles off.
