Brooke Blue Trail is a short, easy loop in Connecticut, about a mile long and rising from roughly 270 to 280 feet. It starts and ends at nearly the same elevation, so the 58 feet of total gain is a gentle climb, and the trail is rated easy. The loop makes a good addition to a visit to Ives Corner, the nearest town, which lies about 0.7 miles away. The trail's own elevation profile shows the steepest stretch at about 0.66 miles into the route, where it reaches a 4% grade. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Carmel put May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July and August warming to the mid-80s. The station sits about 100 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the route may run slightly cooler. Brooke Yellow Trail lies just 0.1 mile away, and Red Trail and Yellow Trail are each about 0.9 mile off. Climbers can find the Left Leg area about 2.7 miles away.
