Prize Box is a cross-country skiing route in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, about 0.87 miles long and rated easy. The climb is nearly flat, with a high point of 9,305 feet and a low of 9,281 feet, and the steepest stretch is just 0.12 miles from the start, at a 2% grade. Winter is the season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dillon run from highs around 31°F in January to about 69°F in June. The station sits roughly 240 feet lower than the route, so temperatures on the trail run slightly cooler. Buffalo Flats and Bronco Dave are both within a third of a mile, making this an easy addition to a longer outing on the same network of ski routes. The Swan River, a canoeing spot, is about 1.8 miles away, and Peak One Campground is about 4.7 miles off.
