Bronco Dave is a short, easy cross-country ski route in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, about 0.6 miles long and rising about 32 feet from a starting point near 9,275 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.38 miles, and the route is close enough to the top of the district to link easily with other trails in the area. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Dillon show January highs around 31°F with lows near 1°F, while June brings highs near 69°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the route, so temperatures on the ski trail run slightly cooler. Buffalo Flats and Silver Star are both within a quarter mile, and the Swan River offers canoeing about 2 miles away. For an overnight stay, Peak One Campground is roughly 4.4 miles off.
