Brush Creek Road is a cross-country ski route in the Gunnison Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It is a short outing of about 2.6 miles, with an elevation gain of about 145 feet from a starting point near 8,950 feet to a high point of about 9,029 feet. The road runs between two nearby spots: Brush Creek Road 738 and Brush Creek Camping Area, both about 0.1 mile away. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from the nearby Crested Butte weather station run from highs of about 26°F in January to around 29°F in February, with lows near zero. By contrast, summer highs reach the mid-70s. The road also makes an easy base for other outings. Tent City Camping Area is about 1.2 miles away and Brush Creek offers canoeing about 1.3 miles off.
