Sunshine is a mountain biking route in Colorado's Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, within the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route lies about 2.7 miles long, starting at roughly 9,327 feet and climbing to about 9,753 feet, with a total gain of 498 feet and a total descent of 969 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Spicer weather station show July highs around 77°F with lows near 42°F. That station sits well below the route, so expect temperatures up top to run cooler. The Duster and Cathy's Cutoff trails are both within a third of a mile. Paddlers can find Walton Creek about 2.7 miles away, and climbers will find Blob Rock about 3.1 miles off.
