Pete's Wicked Trail is a mountain biking route in the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Colorado, about 5 miles from Steamboat Springs. The Forest Service manages the land. The ride covers roughly 2.9 miles and gains about 1,227 feet. It starts at around 9,327 feet and reaches a high of about 10,369 feet, with the steepest stretch at under a mile in, where the grade reaches about 17 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station put July highs around 73°F with lows near 40°F, though that station sits about 1,300 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures up top run cooler. Cathy's Cutoff starts just 0.2 miles away and Sunshine is about half a mile off. Walton Creek, a paddling spot, is about 2.4 miles away, and Meadows Campground offers a place to stay about 4.8 miles away.
