Cathy's Cutoff is a short mountain biking route in the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The ride is about half a mile long, with a one-way climb of 244 feet from a low point of 9,751 feet to a high of 10,002 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.3 miles in, with a 13% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Spicer weather station, which sits well below the cutoff, show July highs around 77°F with lows near 42°F, while temperatures on the route run cooler. Pete's Wicked Trail is about 0.2 miles away and Sunshine about 0.3 miles. Walton Creek, a paddling spot, is roughly 2.6 miles off, and Granite Campground is about 4.8 miles away.
