Sutton - Neosho is a moderate hike of about 3.9 miles on natural trail in the Ouray Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests in Colorado. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 884 feet, from a low point of roughly 8,114 feet to a high of about 9,008 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Ouray weather station, about half a mile away, show July highs near 79°F with lows around 53°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days from December through February. The trail sits right next to the Ouray Perimeter Trail and the Five Fingers climbing area, both about 0.1 mile away. Four J Campground is about 0.6 mile off, and Canyon Creek, a paddling spot, is about 1.9 miles away.
