Stanley Rim is a 3.5-mile out-and-back hike in Colorado's Pikes Peak Ranger District, part of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests. The trail starts at about 9,029 feet and climbs to 9,263 feet, a moderate gain of about 298 feet, and it's rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land. The route is a natural-surface trail that is open year-round and allows biking. That makes it a versatile outing for hikers or riders who want to spend the day on foot or on two wheels. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Ruxton Park weather station, about 10 miles away, put July highs around 74°F with lows near 46°F. Winter highs stay near 39°F, and July and August see the most wet days. Several other places sit within a short drive. W. Monument Creek and Stanley Canyon are both mountain biking areas close to the trail. Nirvana Wall and the Dikeside Boating Site are about 1.4 miles away.
