Schubarth is a hard hike on an out-and-back trail in the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The route stretches about 10 miles, rising 632 feet from a low point of 8,735 feet to a high of 9,353 feet. The trail is rated hard and has a natural surface. Bikes are allowed. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ruxton Park run to highs of about 74°F in July, with lows near 46°F, while winter highs stay around 39°F. The trip is open year-round. The Shubarth Trail and Hell Creek Trail lie within a mile, and Meadow Ridge and Thunder Ridge campgrounds are both about 1.9 miles away.
