Seven Lakes is a hard hike in Colorado's Mount Zirkel Wilderness, part of the Parks Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 9,020 feet to about 10,769 feet, with a total elevation gain of 2,655 feet over a 16-mile round trip. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced and open to horses. The Seven Lakes Trailhead is the parking for the route, and the trail is open year-round. Big Creek Lakes Campground and Big Creek Lake Boat Access sit about 2.4 miles away, and the Beaver Creek hike is about 3.3 miles off. Gem Lake is about 4.3 miles away.
