Luark is a short, easy hike in Colorado's Flat Tops Wilderness, within the Eagle Ranger District of the White River National Forest. The trail is about 2.6 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 221 feet, and it makes an out-and-back trip from a low point of about 10,833 feet to a high of about 11,048 feet. The route is on natural surface, and it is open year-round. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The Forest Service manages the land. Trappers Lake is about 1.5 miles away, and Turret Creek is about 1.8 miles away. Deer Lake, a fishing spot, is about 4.4 miles off, and Sweetwater Lake Recreation Area, a campground, is about 6.1 miles away.
