Meadows Campground sits on Rabbit Ears Pass in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, within the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the campground is surrounded by tall evergreens. It offers 30 campsites, a mix of pull-through, back-in and walk-in tent sites, each with a table and fire ring. Vault toilets and garbage services are provided, and the camping limit is 14 days. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Spicer, CO, show July highs around 77°F with lows near 42°F, and the station sits about 900 feet lower than the campground, so temperatures at the pass run cooler. The West Summit Loop #1A hike is about a mile away, and Harrison Creek and Walton Creek offer canoeing within about 2.4 miles. Rabbit Ears Pass Camp is roughly 4.7 miles off.
