McKindley Group Campground is a state park campground in Stagecoach State Park in northwest Colorado, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among several other campgrounds and trails, so it works well as a base for exploring the park's cluster of sites. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Yampa weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 46°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. McKindley Campground and Harding Spur Campground are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Overlook Trail starts just as close.
