KOA Kampground is a campground in Colorado, about 1.8 miles from the town of Craig. It is a simple base for an overnight stay close to town, and its location makes it an easy stop for anyone already in the Craig area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 89°F with lows near 47°F, while September cools to highs in the upper 70s. Winters are cold, with January highs around 31°F and lows near 3°F. Several other places lie within a short drive. Stearns Trail and Sand Rocks Trail are both hikes about 6 to 7 miles away, and Bears Ears Campground and Pronghorn Campground are each roughly 7.8 miles off.
