Cimarron Forks Camping Area is a dispersed camping site in the Ouray Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits at the confluence of the Middle and East Fork Rivers near Silver Jack Reservoir. Two vault toilets are available in the area, and no fees are required to use the site. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Lake City show July highs around 77°F with lows near 44°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. The West Fork Trail starts just 0.3 miles away, and the East Fork Dispersed camping area is about half a mile off. Jackson Guard Station and the Jackson mountain biking area are both within a mile. Farther out, the Uncompahgre/Big Blue Wilderness and Big Blue Creek offer climbing and paddling about 6 miles away.
