Elk Ridge Campground is a state park campground in Colorado, set within Ridgway State Park and managed by State Fish and Wildlife. It sits among a cluster of trails, climbing areas and other campgrounds, making it a convenient base for exploring the park's mountain biking, rock climbing and paddling. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Ridgway weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 76°F, while July and August run warmer, with highs in the mid-80s. The closest neighbors are the Sunset Ridge Trail and Skyline Loop mountain biking routes, both within a quarter mile.
