Energy Wall is a sport climbing area in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in California, set among a cluster of other climbing spots. The Tea Room, Easy Street and Kamikaze Cave all sit about 0.1 mile away, and The Alcove is about 0.2 mile off, so the area works well as a single stop or a longer day of climbing. The routes here are all sport climbs, and they range from 5.10d to 5.12a. Red Bull is the easiest at 5.10d, and Energy and Jolt are the hardest at 5.12a. All five routes were first ascended by Louie Anderson in 2001. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 78°F and October highs around 85°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits well below the wall, so temperatures up high run cooler. For a walk, the Mishe Mokwa Trail is about half a mile away and the Backbone Trail about 0.7 mile. Circle X Ranch Group Campground, roughly 1.4 miles off, is the closest place to camp.
