Left Flank

Left Flank is a climbing area in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among several other named climbing areas, including Java Wall, Upper Tier and the Grotto, all about 0.1 mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Woodland Hills run to highs around 74°F in March and 76°F in November, while summer highs reach the mid-90s. There is no fee to access the climbing area. Circle X Ranch Group Campground, about 1.2 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
