Twain Harte Horsemen is a 3.2-mile out-and-back trail in the Mi-Wok Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. The route rises from about 2,982 feet to about 3,788 feet, a climb of 937 feet one way. The trail is rated hard, and the Forest Service manages the land. The route is open year-round. It is a natural-surface trail and is open to both horses and bikes, so riders and equestrians can ride it together. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At the Calaveras Big Trees weather station, about 15 miles away, typical July averages run to a high of 81°F and a low of 56°F, with only one wet day in the month. Winter is much colder, with typical January highs around 45°F and lows near 30°F. The Main Tuolumne Ditch Trail is about half a mile away and is a mountain biking route. Deer Creek MC Trail Lower is about 2 miles away. Climbers can head to Roadside Rocks, about 3.3 miles out, and paddlers to the North Fork Tuolumne River, about 5 miles away.
