Sand Bar Flat is a Forest Service campground in the Summit Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. It sits within the national forest's boundaries, and the Forest Service manages the land. Vault toilets are the only facility listed for the site. A fee is charged for stays. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Groveland show May highs around 73°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 91°F. The Beardsley hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Tunnel Cr. R hike is about 2 miles off. Paddlers can reach the South Fork Stanislaus River within about 4 miles, and Beardsley Dam campground is roughly 5 miles away.
