Haiwee is a hard hike in the South Sierra Wilderness, part of the Kern River Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California. The trail is about 7.4 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,202 feet, and it runs from a low point of about 7,400 feet to a high of about 8,600 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is natural-surfaced, not accessible, and allows horses but not bikes. The route is an out-and-back, and the climb is a significant part of the trip. Beck Meadow lies about 0.4 miles away, and Lost Meadow is about a mile off. For an overnight base, Kennedy Meadows Campground is about 6 miles away, and Fish Creek Rock offers climbing about 7 miles out.
