Fish Creek is a 6.2-mile out-and-back hike on natural trail in the Kern River Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. The route runs from a low point of about 7,800 feet to a high of about 8,085 feet, with a total elevation gain of roughly 300 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Lodgepole weather station, about 40 miles away, show July and August highs around 76°F with lows in the mid-40s and only about two wet days a month. Winter brings highs near freezing and frequent snow days. Several other destinations sit close by. Albinita is about 1.2 miles away, Smith Meadow is about 1.4 miles away, and Blackrock Mountain Trail is about 2.2 miles away. Troy Meadow Campground, about 5.3 miles away, offers a place to camp.
