Meadowview is a Forest Service campground in the Summit Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. It sits within the national forest's recreation sites, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site has flush toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. That makes it a straightforward base for an overnight trip, with the basics covered. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Cherry Valley Dam weather station, about 15 miles away, show May highs around 70°F and October highs around 70°F, while July and August average highs near 89°F. Winter brings regular snow days, with about five in January and February. Several other spots lie close by.
