Pacific Valley is a developed campground in the Calaveras Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits in meadow and forest, adjacent to Pacific Creek and near the Mokelumne River and Mosquito Lakes. Vault toilets are the only amenity at the site, so plan to carry everything you need for a trip. The most comfortable stretch for a visit runs from late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 80°F with lows in the low 40s, and only two or three wet days a month from June through September. Several other spots are close by. Mosquito Lakes campground and the MCCT Mosquito Lakes to Pacific Valley hike are each about 0.7 miles away. Hermit Valley campground is roughly 1.7 miles off, and the North Fork Mokelumne River offers canoeing about 4.4 miles away.
