Pine Marten is a Forest Service campground in the Calaveras Ranger District of Stanislaus National Forest in California. It sits among a cluster of trails, lakes and other campgrounds, with Lake Alpine Recreation Area and the Alpine Horse Trail Loop just 0.1 mile away. Vault toilets are the only amenity listed, and a fee is charged for stays. The surrounding area offers plenty to pair with a night here. Bee Gulch Trail and the Alpine Horse Trail Loop are both within a tenth of a mile, and Silver Valley campground is about 0.2 mile off. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 75°F with lows near 49°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Lake Alpine Recreation Area and the Silver Valley campground are the closest neighbors. Farther out, the North Fork Mokelumne River offers canoeing about 3.6 miles away, and the Warm-up Wall climbing area is about 5.1 miles off.
