Silver Creek is a Forest Service campground in the Carson Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in California. It sits in the forest's remote high country, with vault toilets and fire rings as the site's basic amenities. The most comfortable stretch for a visit is midsummer, when typical July and August highs reach about 80°F with lows near 40°F and only a couple of wet days a month, based on averages from the South Lake Tahoe airport weather station. Winter is cold, with typical highs around 43°F and lows in the teens. Reservations are available here. No campsites are listed as accessible. Noble Canyon is just 0.4 miles away, and Raymond Lake is about 3 miles off. True Value Crag, a climbing area, and Hermit Valley campground are both within about 7 miles.
