Fiddle Creek is a Forest Service campground in the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California, about 9.6 miles from the Downieville weather station. The land is managed by the Forest Service, and the site charges a fee. Vault toilets are the only listed amenity. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Downieville weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 72°F, with lows near 42°F and 39°F. July and August highs typically reach 89°F. Snow days are common from December through March, with about two each month. The campground sits close to several other sites. Cal Ida Campground is 0.2 miles away, Carlton Flat Campground is 0.3 miles away, and Indian Valley is 0.6 miles away. The Fiddle Creek Ridge Trail starts about 0.3 miles off.
