Cal Ida Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California, about 10 miles from Downieville. It sits among a cluster of campgrounds and trails, with Carlton Flat Campground and Fiddle Creek Campground each about 0.2 miles away. Vault toilets are the only amenity listed. A fee is charged for stays. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Downieville weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 72°F, while July and August average highs near 89°F.
