Mill Creek is a bouldering area in the Buffalo Ranger District of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Arkansas, managed by the Forest Service. It sits about 0.6 miles from the Main Cluster climbing area, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding rock. The climbing here is all bouldering, with two routes listed: Battle Stations, rated V3-4, and Army Of One, rated V5. Both are boulder problems, so the area works well for climbers who want to focus on short, crag-style sessions rather than longer routes. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Deer, Arkansas, run to highs around 70°F in May and 65°F in October, while July and August average in the low 80s. That station sits about 650 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run a little cooler. Other climbing areas within a few miles include North Side and Front Area. For time on the water, Hurricane Creek offers canoeing about 1.2 miles away, and the Buffalo River is roughly 8.8 miles off.
