Viet Springs is a bouldering area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest, Arizona, within the Lamar Haines Wildlife Area. The land is managed by State Fish and Wildlife, and the area sits about 0.2 miles from the Veit Spring Trail and 0.4 miles from the Thing Area and Southern Walls climbing areas. The climbing here is all bouldering, with eight routes spread across the V1+ to V7 range. The easiest is an unnamed "warm-up" at V1+, and the hardest is Chuck Taylor Sit at V7. Chuck Taylor and Unnamed Seam are both V3 and V4, and the Unnamed Prow is V6. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Ft Valley weather station, about 3 miles away, show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up high run cooler. Nearby, the Kachina Trail #150 is about 1.4 miles away, and Lockett Meadow Campground is about 6.3 miles away.
