Miners Needle is a climbing area in the Superstition Wilderness, part of the Mesa Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Superior, Arizona, show March highs around 72°F and November highs around 72°F, while July highs reach about 99°F and winter lows hover in the mid-40s. The climbing here is all trad, with six routes ranging from 5.0 to 5.10. Threading The Needle is the easiest at 5.0, and Masquerader Aider is the hardest at 5.10. The Northwest and Southeast climbing areas are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Whiskey and Coffee Flat hikes are about 0.4 mile off.
