Lower Wall is a climbing area in Arizona's Coronado National Forest, on the Santa Catalina Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land, and the area sits in the district's upper reaches, where several climbing spots cluster close together. The climbing here runs from about 5.9 up to 5.13c, with sport routes making up most of the 16 routes listed. The median grade is around 5.11+. Sport climbers will find routes like Painless Steal at 5.12a and Injury Reserve at 5.13c, and there's also a mixed route, 3/8 Mexican, at 5.11+. A few trad routes round out the mix. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from the nearby Mt Lemmon Willow Canyon weather station run to highs around 71°F in May and 68°F in October, while winter highs sit in the low 50s. Lower Wall sits right next to Upper Wall and Raycreation Area, both about 0.1 mile away. Spencer Canyon campground is about 0.7 mile off, and the Aspen hike is about half a mile away.
