The Face of God is a climbing area in Arizona on county land within a proposed open space, about 0.1 mile from the Alien Wall, Heaven's Gate and Glade Wall climbing areas. The land is managed by the county, and the area is part of a cluster of climbing spots that sit close together. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Superior weather station show April highs around 78°F and October highs around 84°F, while July and August average near 99°F. That station sits about 1,100 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up high run cooler. The area has six routes, with grades ranging from 5.10b to 5.12-. Three are mixed, two are sport and one is trad. First Stone (5.10b, mixed) and Hanuman's Tail (5.10b, trad) are among the easier options, and God Knows (5.12-, mixed) is the hardest. The Faulty Towers climbing area is also about 0.1 mile away. Oak Flat campground is about 2.5 miles off, and the Legends of Superior Trail is about 2.9 miles away.
