The Walhalla Spur Trail is an easy out-and-back hike in Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, managed by the National Park Service. It stretches about 5.4 miles round trip, with a low point of 8,032 feet and a high of 8,242 feet, and it rises by about 210 feet from start to finish. The trail works well as a short outing within the park, and it pairs naturally with other nearby walks. A fee is charged for the visit, as the National Park Service records it as a paid activity. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Bright Angel, which sits close to the trail's elevation, show May highs around 62°F and September highs around 67°F, with July the warmest month at about 77°F.
