Summit is an easy out-and-back hike of about 1.8 miles in the Springerville Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, about 2.2 miles from the town of Eagar. The trail rises about 321 feet from a low point of 7,813 feet to a high of 8,134 feet. The route is natural-surface and open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Greer weather station show May highs around 66°F and October highs around 61°F, while July and August bring the most wet days, about 14 to 16 a month. Several other trails sit close by. Flat Top and Robinson Hollow are mountain biking spots within half a mile, and the Robiinson Hollow Trail and Homestead are hikes about a mile away.
