Flat Top is a 7-mile out-and-back hike in the Springerville Ranger District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests in eastern Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 380 feet from roughly 7,300 feet to about 7,800 feet, and it is rated hard. The trail is natural-surfaced and open to horses and bikes, though it is not accessible. A nearby weather station in Springerville, about 3 miles away, records typical averages that make May and September the most comfortable months, with highs around 76 to 79°F and lows in the 30s. July and August bring highs near 85°F and about 12 wet days a month, while winter highs sit around 50°F with lows in the teens. The closest neighbors are the Robiinson Hollow Trail, about a tenth of a mile away, and the Summit hike and Robinson Hollow mountain biking area, both about 0.7 miles off. The Homestead hike is about 1.7 miles away.
