Little Horse #61 is an easy hike of about 3 miles in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 300 feet, from a low point of roughly 4,217 feet to a high of about 4,590 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 97°F. Bikes are allowed on this route, but horses are not. The Little Horse Trail and Llama #650 both start about 0.1 mile away. Climbers can find Church Wall about half a mile off, and Chavez Crossing campground is about 1.4 miles away.
