Jacobs Crosscut is a 10.7-mile out-and-back hike in the Mesa Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from a low point of 1,874 feet to a high of 2,245 feet, with an elevation gain of 138 feet, and it is rated hard. The trailhead is at Crosscut Trailhead, and the route is natural-surfaced and open year-round. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically the cooler ones, with typical averages from a nearby weather station in Apache Junction showing highs around 67°F in January and 77°F in March. Summer is hot, with typical July highs near 105°F. Massacre Falls Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and Quail Loop Trail and Treasure Loop are both within about a mile. Climbers can find Northwest Pinnacles about 1.4 miles off.
