Deer Hill is a 11.2-mile out-and-back hike on natural trail in Arizona's Coconino National Forest, within the Flagstaff Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route rises 299 feet from its low point of 7,130 feet to a high of 7,372 feet. It is a hard hike. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 71°F in May and 76°F in September. Midsummer brings the most wet days, with 11 to 13 a month in July and August. The trail starts at the Little Elden Spring parking area. Little Elden Spring itself is a mountain biking spot about 0.3 miles away, and the Horse Camp Access Trail is about 0.6 miles off. Little Elden Springs Horsecamp lies about 0.7 miles away, and Lockett Meadow Campground is about 5.9 miles away.
