Copper Camp is a 15-mile out-and-back hike in Arizona's Tonto National Forest, within the Cave Creek Ranger District. The trail climbs from about 2,400 feet to 5,472 feet, a gain of about 2,800 feet, and the Forest Service manages the land. The route is natural-surface and does not allow bikes. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Payson run from highs around 72°F in April to about 76°F in October, while July highs average 93°F. The hike is year-round, and several other trails start close by. Sears and Davenport are each within about 3 miles, and Mesquite Campground and Horseshoe Campground are about 5 miles away.
