Fig Spring is a 7.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Cave Creek Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from a low point of 1,903 feet to a high of 2,210 feet, a climb of 336 feet one way, and is rated hard. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Carefree show March highs around 74°F and November highs around 73°F, while June and July average in the low 100s. The route is on natural surface and bikes are not allowed. The trail is open year-round, and the nearest town is Carefree, about 16 miles away. Nearby, the Telegraph Line Trail and Davenport hikes are within about 2 miles, and Mesquite Campground and Horseshoe Campground are both within 3 miles.
