Lock N' Load is a bouldering area on Wheeler Reservoir Retained Land in Alabama, managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Right Bishop just 0.1 mile away and Omen Area about 0.4 mile off. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes run from V2 up to V11, with the hardest, Bird Whisperer, at V11. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Guntersville No.2 weather station show October highs around 73°F with lows near 53°F, and April is similar at about 72°F by day and 50°F at night. July is the warmest month, with highs near 89°F. Other climbing areas close by include Proceed Boulders at about a mile and Middle Bishop at about 1.2 miles. For a change of pace, Thompson Loop is a hike roughly 2.6 miles away.
