Hope Boulder is a bouldering area on Wheeler Reservoir Retained Land in Alabama, managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, with Road Block and Pillar of Fire each about 0.2 miles away and Found Boulder about 0.3 miles off. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated between V1 and V3 on the V scale. The names of the routes are Have Hope (V1), Hopefully (V1), Hope (V2), Hopeless (V2) and Hopeful (V3). The first ascents are listed for each. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 74°F with lows near 47°F, and April highs around 71°F. Summer highs typically reach the upper 80s. For more climbing, Middle Bishop is about 0.3 miles away. Thompson Loop, a hike about 2.5 miles off, and Shoal Creek, a paddling spot about 6.5 miles away, round out the options nearby.
