Found Boulder is a bouldering area on Wheeler Reservoir Retained Land in Alabama, managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority. It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, including Pillar of Fire, Middle Bishop and Muscle Boulder, all about a tenth of a mile away, so it makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding boulders. The climbing here is all boulder-style, with five routes ranging from V1 to V8. Found is the easiest at V1, and Nolan's Arête and Tenderness are the hardest at V8. The grades put the area at a moderate to challenging level for boulderers. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 71°F in April and 74°F in October, while July and August average highs near 88°F. The station sits about 450 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up high run cooler. Nearby, Thompson Loop and Honeycomb Trail offer hiking within a couple of miles. Shoal Creek, about 6.5 miles away, is a paddling spot.
