Trammel Motorway is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Alabama's National Forests in Alabama, within the Talladega Ranger District. The route is about 2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of roughly 225 feet. It rises to a high point of 948 feet and drops back to about 813 feet, and the steepest stretch comes about 0.4 miles from the start, with a grade of about 7 percent. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically April and October, when typical highs reach about 75°F and 76°F with lows in the upper 40s, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Sylacauga. That station sits well below the route's elevation, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The hike takes about an hour to complete. Azelea Road and Redbud Road are both within about a mile, and the Pinhoti Trail is roughly 1.2 miles away. Weogufka Creek, a canoeing spot, lies about 3.9 miles off.
