About Salero

Tucked within the Santa Rita Mountains of Santa Cruz County, Arizona, Salero stands as one of the most intact ghost towns still surviving in the state. The site sits on private land belonging to Salero Ranch and is closed to the public.

Because access is not permitted, Salero is a place to appreciate from a distance rather than explore firsthand. Visitors cannot walk the grounds or inspect the remaining structures, regardless of how well preserved the town may be.
