About Querida
Querida is a ghost town in Custer County, Colorado, established to support the silver mines of the surrounding area. The most significant of those operations was the Bassick mine, which drove the settlement's existence.
Visitors today find a quiet remnant of Colorado's mining era set in Custer County's high-country landscape. As with most ghost towns of this type, expect scattered structural remains rather than a preserved townsite, and come prepared for rugged, unpaved access roads that can become difficult outside the warmer months.
