Rosita

Rosita is a ghost town in Custer County, Colorado, with roots in silver mining. The name itself is Spanish for little rose. Once a functioning town built around that industry, little physical evidence of it remains today.

Visitors won't find preserved buildings or dramatic ruins. The land where the town once stood has given way to semi-rural residential development, meaning the historic townsite is now largely private home sites rather than open public ground. It's a place better understood through its story than its scenery.
